SPECIFIC COMPETENCES
- To demonstrate the capacity for analysis and synthesis, critical reasoning and the ability to organise historiographical knowledge related to the history of Europe and the World of the Atlantic.
- To know how to identify and correctly use sources of information for historical research, including transcription, analysis and cataloguing of empirical material in the scientific and social area.
- To know how to apply the methods, techniques and instruments of analysis available to the historian so as to be able to critically examine various types of sources and historical documents.
- To show the capacity for oral and written communication using the terminology and techniques appropriate to historians in order to enhance the transfer of scientific knowledge.
- To know how to value cultural and heritage diversity as well as multiculturalism and the role men and women played in the history of Europe and the World of the Atlantic.
- To know how to correctly use the specific instruments available for gathering historical documentation, including new information and communication technologies.
- To understand how societies have evolved through sociocultural and economic factors.
- To demonstrate the capacity to evaluate historical development with regard to the political constructions of each period.
